Founding History
Purposeful Giving Alliance began as a vision shared by Brian Morris—a dedicated community advocate—and David Bell, a passionate supporter of family well-being. Frustrated by how many families in Peoria faced unmet needs, Brian and David joined forces to create a nonprofit devoted to tackling financial barriers, fostering unity, and inspiring purposeful giving throughout Arizona.
Since our founding, we’ve grown beyond a single event to host multiple year-round initiatives, all while staying true to our core principles: empowerment, trust, transparency, and authentic connection. Our dream is to expand these events into more neighborhoods—so that no family feels alone, especially during critical times like back-to-school season or the holidays.

Brian Morris serves as President of the Purposeful Giving Alliance, where he provides strategic leadership and vision to guide the organization’s mission of supporting families and communities in need across Arizona. As a dedicated business owner and community advocate, Brian brings both entrepreneurial insight and a deep sense of purpose to his role. His focus on collaboration, accountability, and long-term impact has helped the Alliance expand its outreach and strengthen its ability to serve more people year after year

David Bell
David Bell serves as Vice President of the Purposeful Giving Alliance, helping shape and execute the organization’s mission to empower families and build stronger communities across Arizona. As a passionate business owner and philanthropist, David combines strategic leadership with a genuine heart for giving. He plays a key role in driving growth, community engagement, and partnerships that make the Alliance’s large-scale events—like the Annual Day of Giving and the Backpack & Teacher Appreciation Drive—possible and impactful.

Brian Vascassenno
Brian Vascassenno serves as Treasurer of the Purposeful Giving Alliance, where he helps guide the organization’s financial direction and ensure that every contribution creates measurable local impact. His focus on transparency and community connection has helped strengthen key initiatives such as the Annual Day of Giving and the Backpack & Teacher Appreciation Drive. Brian is known for his practical leadership style, steady integrity, and passion for uniting local businesses and volunteers to make a lasting difference across Arizona.

Walter Crenshaw
Walter Crenshaw serves as Secretary of the Purposeful Giving Alliance, where he helps coordinate communication, organization, and outreach across all major charitable initiatives. His strong sense of service and attention to detail play a key role in the success of events like the Annual Day of Giving and the Backpack & Teacher Appreciation Drive. Walter is known for his commitment to collaboration, his community-first mindset, and his ability to keep the Alliance’s mission focused on helping Arizona families thrive year after year.

Jon Edwards
Jon Edwards serves as the Charity Lead and Community Outreach Director for the Purposeful Giving Alliance, leading the planning, coordination, and execution of the organization’s charitable programs and events. His hands-on leadership and deep community connections have helped expand the reach of initiatives like the Annual Day of Giving and the Backpack & Teacher Appreciation Drive. Jon is passionate about building bridges between local businesses, volunteers, and families in need—driving the Alliance’s mission to create lasting, positive impact throughout Arizona.

Douglas Laird
Douglas Laird serves as Director of Marketing for the Purposeful Giving Alliance, where he leads brand development, digital outreach, and strategic communications. With a strong background in marketing and creative direction, Douglas plays a key role in amplifying the Alliance’s message and expanding its community impact. His work ensures that every event—from the Annual Day of Giving to the Backpack & Teacher Appreciation Drive—reaches more families, sponsors, and volunteers each year. Douglas is driven by purpose, using storytelling and innovation to connect people with causes that make a real difference across Arizona.

Zack Campa
Zack Campa is the engine behind the Purposeful Giving Alliance’s connection to Hispanic families across the Valley. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, he bridges communities that often get overlooked and makes sure families know they’re seen, valued, and supported. Zack has spent years working directly with local neighborhoods, schools, churches, and small businesses, building trust the old-fashioned way—face-to-face, handshake by handshake. His role at PGA focuses on improving communication, boosting involvement, and knocking down barriers so Hispanic families can access every resource PGA offers, whether it’s holiday support, food assistance, school outreach, or large-scale events like Day of Giving. He brings heart, grit, cultural understanding, and the ability to talk to anyone, anywhere. Zack’s work is a big part of why PGA keeps growing and why more families are stepping forward for help without fear, judgment, or hesitation. His mission is simple: make sure no family gets left out.

A Day of Giving (Peoria, AZ & Now Expanding!)
- What It Is: A festive annual event providing holiday meals, gifts, and community bonding.

- What It Is: Supplying essential school items to local students.

Service Worker Family Support
- What It Is: Aid for police, fire, and other service worker families who’ve recently lost a loved one in the line of duty.
- Why It Matters: Offers immediate relief during a deeply challenging time, fostering solidarity and compassion.
- Year-Round: Always collecting funds to respond quickly whenever a family needs help.
Our Purpose
Our programs relieve financial stress, help families create positive memories, and nurture a supportive community spirit. We’ve seen families bounce back stronger, students find renewed enthusiasm for school, and volunteers discover the joy of giving back.
